Well, I got my first look at the Cloverfield DVD last night. I enjoyed it very much. So, if you’re apprehensive about buying it, here’s a small guide to what you’ll be purchasing.
- While nauseating in theatres, it is very watchable on the home television.
- You get 3 alt. endings, which aren’t much..they really suck. But they are interesting.
- Bloopers. Pretty much the funniest thing ever.
- Deleted scenes. A bit more of the funniest thing ever.
- A look into the making of the monster
That’s all really. Nope, no big thing that tells all the answers, but there is a directors commentary which I will watch when I get the DVD myself, which may give some clue as to the answers.
Worth your money? Well, I think $25 for a DVD is ridiculous. But there are places where it’s only $20. For the hype, I don’t think the Special Features are good enough. You may want to wait for the price to go down a little or wait a few months for the Special Edition DVD (if one exists, but most big movies do that to generate more hype).
